Janine Turner Actress and Author

I'm sure many of you have heard of Janine Turner; A well known Actress who starred in the hit CBS Television series 'Northern Exposure'. She's starred in Life Time's, (my favorite), 'Strong Medicine' and a host of films such as 'Cliff Hanger' co-star Sylvester Stallone.

In 2008, Janine has published her first book, 'Holding Her Head High: 12 Single Mothers Who Championed their Children and Changed History'. I haven't read the book as yet, but from the articles I've read, She's received magnificent reviews. The information from the snapster I read on her website intrigued me. The book focuses on single moms from history like Harriet Jacobs, a woman from slavery who was an unmarried single mother. According to Janine's website there was an autobiography published about her right around the time the civil war began. Other Women such as Belva Lockwood, the first women to officially run for president and others, offer encouragement and wisdom to inspire all women. Is it possible to change your fate? Of course, we can do whatever we set our minds to, who says we can't.
There is an increasing number of single parents out in the world more so than ever before; from celebrities to corporate; middle class to minorities. We all have one thing or more in common.
